Bradley Hall is a Grade II* listed house in Matlock, built in 1774 and retaining original fireplaces, flagstone floors, mullion windows and shutters. The village sits among rocks and tors in the Derbyshire Dales, within reach of two pubs including the Red Lion Inn, and walking starts from the doorstep. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms accommodate up to 8 guests across three floors. On the ground floor, the kitchen has a gas range cooker and the dining room seats eight. Upstairs are bedrooms with an emperor bed, super kingsize, double and two singles, plus a roll-top bath and separate shower room.

The south-facing garden is the main draw: a decked area holds an 8-person hot tub, and there is a firepit and pizza oven alongside garden furniture and a gas barbecue. A cellar contains the washing machine. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided; heating and hot water are included. There is parking for two cars on site. One pet is welcome. The property is non-smoking, and four steps lead down to the decked garden area.

We rented through Cottages.com. It's a nice big house for a group of 8. The lounge was a little cosy for all 8 of us, but the dining room was a good size and the kitchen was well equipped. The garden has a nice table for 8 and other seating areas. The hot tub is good for 4 adults at a time. Parking in the drive is a bit tight, but there is a public car park very close. Great location for visiting Bakewell and Matlock and walking in the Peak District. 2 great pubs in the village.

Lovely building, great walled garden, well furnished and ideally situated for exploring peak district. Instantly felt and would definitely return or recommend to friends family.

A lovely place to go for a break, I would like the place to be a little cleaner and some general maintenance done on it.
