Bakewell and its surrounding peaks hold centuries of history within reach. Chatsworth House, home to the Dukes of Devonshire since the 1600s, commands 105 acres of gardens and a famous cascade. Haddon Hall, across nine centuries old, has doubled as a film set for Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. Closer still, Buxton offers its spa heritage and opera house; Castleton's show caves and the Heights of Abraham cable car are day trips worth making. Walking routes crisscross the Peaks, and the market town itself is famous for a pudding that bears its name.

Brosterfield Suite sits in the grounds of a working farm near Foolow, a self-contained cottage with everything for two people on one floor. A kingsize bed, shower room with underfloor heating, and a combined living and dining space with a Freeview television fill the compact interior. The kitchen handles simple cooking with an induction hob, microwave and fridge. Shared gardens overlook rolling hills and grazing cattle; parking for two cars is on-site. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.

A pub and restaurant sit less than a mile away. The property does not allow smoking. Dogs are welcome here.

We stayed here for just 1 night which we instantly wished we had booked a few night, we stayed in the broader field suite, an absolutely stunning room with a small bathroom and kitchen, penny and co are amazing there was literally everything in there that you could need, we brought our dog along and there was even a bag with bowls, towel and treats for the dog (I had brought all an amazing place that we will have recommended to everyone and will be coming back to visit again! Thank you my own anyway) but what a lovely gesture incase you’ve forgotten something. Beautiful farm, beautiful place, overal

Beautiful location and charming suite! Very clean and sufficient for our purposes. Also near the lovely town of Foolow with the highly recommended Bulls Head Inn (excellent food and service). Our family had a great stay. If you’re into outdoor activities (we went for the rock climbing opportunities nearby) definitely recommend this location.

A great property for a large group. The kitchen, dining and living space is great for a social get together and the cinema room ideal for a bit of downtime. All rooms were beautifully decorated and a lot of thought and time has obviously been put into the farmhouse property. Lovely location, with lots of lovely pubs nearby. Communication with the owners was also ideal. Highly recommended!
