Buxton and the Peak District's most popular trails are within easy reach of Cotterill Farm – Haystore. The cottage is one of seven properties converted from stone farm buildings, surrounded by countryside ideal for outdoor pursuits. A nature reserve adjoins the farm, and a bridleway from the drive leads toward Hartington, where you'll find pubs and a village shop. Sustrans Route 54 connects the High Peak Trail to the Tissington Trail nearby, a former railway line equally good for walkers and cyclists.
The cottage sleeps three across two bedrooms: a double on the first floor and a smaller double on the galleried second floor. Downstairs is open-plan, with a living area, dining space and kitchen equipped for proper cooking. There's a shower room on the first floor. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. A shared laundry room with washer and dryer is available, along with private parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with seating. No smoking is permitted.
The farm sits midway between Ashbourne and Buxton, making Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton, the Dove and Manifold Valleys, and towns like Bakewell and Matlock all reachable within half an hour. Children under eight are not accommodated.

We have just come back from a fantastic week away in The Milking Parlour. What can I say, they have thought of everything. It was the heatwave whilst we were there but as it is a stone cottage it was very cool. I would definitely recommend and will book again. Thank you so much.

Stunning cottages, all recently refurbished with superb WiFi coverage and speeds. There are loads of lovely places to visit in the local vicinity too including Hartington, Arbow Low stone circle, the Donkey Sanctuary, lots of countryside walks and plenty more. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway as you'll be tucked away from society whilst also being so close to lots of things to do. I love this part of the Peak District.

Situated in beautiful scenery down a quiet country lane these cottages are great for a little getaway. We stayed in The Granary, we had everything we needed and was very cosy and comfortable with fab views across the rolling hills and fields.
