Cotterill Farm sits within a small complex of stone-built cottages surrounded by the open moorland and valleys of the Peak District. The location puts you within reach of serious walking and cycling country—the Sustrans route and former railway trails are nearby, and a nature reserve wraps around the farm itself. From the door you can head straight out onto bridleways; the village of Hartington, with its pubs and shops, lies along the bridleway at the end of the drive.
Millstone has two bedrooms (a double and a single), a bathroom, and a combined living and dining space on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided. There's a shared laundry room with a washer and dryer, parking for two cars, and a shared garden with seating. No smoking is permitted in the cottage.
The farm is positioned between Buxton and Ashbourne, making it practical for exploring further afield—Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton and the Dove Valley are all within 30 minutes' drive. Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton are equally accessible for their architecture, shops and local character.

We have just come back from a fantastic week away in The Milking Parlour. What can I say, they have thought of everything. It was the heatwave whilst we were there but as it is a stone cottage it was very cool. I would definitely recommend and will book again. Thank you so much.

Stunning cottages, all recently refurbished with superb WiFi coverage and speeds. There are loads of lovely places to visit in the local vicinity too including Hartington, Arbow Low stone circle, the Donkey Sanctuary, lots of countryside walks and plenty more. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway as you'll be tucked away from society whilst also being so close to lots of things to do. I love this part of the Peak District.

Situated in beautiful scenery down a quiet country lane these cottages are great for a little getaway. We stayed in The Granary, we had everything we needed and was very cosy and comfortable with fab views across the rolling hills and fields.
