Families and couples after a rural base will find The Granary works well. This converted farmhouse cottage has two bedrooms—one with twin single beds, one double—and two bathrooms, sleeping four. The living space is open-plan upstairs, with a kitchen that has an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave; downstairs are the bedrooms and bathrooms. Essentials like electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are covered. A laundry room with washer-dryer is on site, and there's parking for two cars.

Cotterill Farm sits among farmland with a nature reserve on the property, and bridleways start at the end of the drive. Hartington village—with pubs and shops—is reachable on foot. For cyclists, Sustrans Route 54 connects the High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail nearby. The Peak District's major attractions are all within 30 minutes: Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton, the Dove and Manifold Valleys, and the market towns of Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock. A pub sits within a mile of the property. No smoking is permitted, and fireworks and Chinese lanterns are not allowed in the garden.

We have just come back from a fantastic week away in The Milking Parlour. What can I say, they have thought of everything. It was the heatwave whilst we were there but as it is a stone cottage it was very cool. I would definitely recommend and will book again. Thank you so much.

Stunning cottages, all recently refurbished with superb WiFi coverage and speeds. There are loads of lovely places to visit in the local vicinity too including Hartington, Arbow Low stone circle, the Donkey Sanctuary, lots of countryside walks and plenty more. The owners are lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway as you'll be tucked away from society whilst also being so close to lots of things to do. I love this part of the Peak District.

Situated in beautiful scenery down a quiet country lane these cottages are great for a little getaway. We stayed in The Granary, we had everything we needed and was very cosy and comfortable with fab views across the rolling hills and fields.
