Digby’s Hut
Derbyshire Dales
Bakewell's market square, Chatsworth House and its 105 acres of gardens, and the medieval rooms of Haddon Hall all sit within driving distance of Digby's Hut. The surrounding Peak District also holds show caves, spa towns, and enough walking trails to fill a week. A pub and restaurant stand half a mile away on foot.
This shepherd's hut contains everything a couple needs in one open-plan space: a bedroom with a 4ft 6in double bed at one end, a sitting area with a wood burner and smart TV, a kitchen with electric hob and microwave, and an ensuite shower room. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included. Outside, a private garden comes with seating and a wood-fired hot tub for two, which needs filling and heating on arrival (around three hours depending on season). One car can park on site. The hut does not permit smoking.
This suits couples seeking a Peak District base without the formality of a traditional cottage, or those wanting a retreat centred on soaking in hot water under open sky.
