Dove Cottage

The Derbyshire Dales has long drawn visitors seeking both activity and quietude. Converted from farm buildings, Dove Cottage is part of a stone courtyard of holiday lets where you can stay as an independent unit with your own entrance and parking. The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, each with a zip-and-link bed that splits into singles if preferred, plus two bathrooms—one ensuite, one separate.

Downstairs is an open-plan living area with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a dining space and a sitting room with Freeview television. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. The real draw for families is the shared heated indoor swimming pool in an adjacent building, open year-round bar Christmas and Boxing Day, with changing facilities and a shallow area for younger swimmers. Beyond the pool, the grounds span three acres with patios, gardens, a play area and BBQ facilities. A games room holds a pool table and table tennis if you fancy indoor entertainment on a rainy afternoon. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available in a shared utility room. No smoking is permitted indoors.
