Linden Cottage
Derbyshire Dales
Linden Cottage stands in a Derbyshire Dales village where the landscape opens across the valley towards Riber Castle and the Heights of Abraham. The village itself is compact—the shop and pub are just a short walk away—but the cottage has genuine countryside around it, with Matlock and Matlock Bath accessible on foot or by car. An 18th-century building, it comes with a sheltered, south-facing garden where you can sit on the patio, and parking for one car on site.
The layout is straightforward: a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player downstairs, a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker and full appliances, and two bedrooms upstairs (one double, one with two singles) served by a bathroom with bath and shower. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included. The cottage takes one pet, which should be kept on a lead. No smoking indoors.
The location suits anyone wanting to explore the Peak District without being in the thick of it. Matlock Bath's cable car and Gulliver's Kingdom are just over half a mile away, and within easy reach are Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, the Crich Tramway Museum, Carsington Lake for watersports, the High Peak Cycle Trail, and various golf courses and riding stables.
