Pinfold Cottage sits towards the edge of a Derbyshire Dales village within easy reach of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell. The Duke of York Inn is less than a mile away. This detached stone property, restored with care, offers a single bedroom and bathroom upstairs, with living and dining space on the ground floor. The original character remains intact—gritstone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, timber truss—along with the quirk of uneven stone steps that connect the two floors.
The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and all the basics covered. A wood-burner warms the lounge on cooler days. The king-size bedroom has its own shower room and a glazed door onto a decked terrace that overlooks the fields beyond. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There is on-road parking and an enclosed front garden with seating areas. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Two guests will find everything here for a quiet break in the countryside. The terrace catches the afternoon and evening sun; the bedroom window gets the morning light. The original stone steps mean the stairs are narrow and uneven underfoot—worth knowing before you book.
