Shippon Cottage

Shippon Cottage is equipped for the kind of holiday where you can cook proper meals and settle in for the evening without feeling you've roughed it. The ground floor is one open space—living area with a woodburner and television, dining zone that seats twelve, and a kitchen with an electric range, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. Upstairs are three bedrooms: a kingsize with its own shower room, a double, and a twin, plus a family bathroom with a bath and shower. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included; logs for the burner are provided to start you off.

The cottage sleeps six and welcomes one pet. There is private parking for three cars and a front garden with patio, furniture and a barbecue. Matlock is within the Derbyshire Dales, and the Red Lion Inn is under a mile away. The area is dense with walking routes and Peak District attractions—Bakewell, Buxton, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are all accessible. Check-in is after 4pm, checkout before 10am. No smoking inside.
