This former stable block near Darley Abbey has been converted into a self-contained home for four guests. The ground floor opens into a living space with woodburner, smart TV and dining area leading to a kitchen equipped for full cooking—oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine included. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room. All essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. One car can park on site. The building retains period features including exposed beams and original brickwork.

Darley Abbey sits within reach of Derbyshire's main attractions. Wirksworth's shops, cafes and pubs are close by, while walks into the Peak District, Matlock Bath and Chatsworth House are easily accessible. The property is no-smoking throughout, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. Check-in is after 4pm, with checkout before 10am.

My partner (now wife) and I had our wedding at the Coach House on the 19th June 2026. We had an absolutely wonderful day. The venue is perfect for small weddings. Zoe helped us organise our wedding and it was an unforgettable day. She did an amazing job and we cannot thank her enough. Everything was perfect. The staff on the day were wonderful and our wedding was held outside in the beautiful garden. We also had fabulous weather too. The 6 rooms are all lovely and each of them is uniquely decorated. The food at our wedding was amazing as well and we had a wonderful breakfast there on two mornings. We had a variety of dietary restrictions in our wedding group and all of them were catered for. All of our wedding guests thought the place was amazing. All in all, i cannot recommend the coach house highly enough if you considering having a wedding there.

We had an amazing stay at the coach house over our wedding weekend, and it played such an important part in making the whole experience special. From start to finish, Zoe and the team were warm, accommodating, and offered anything to make the weekend special. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed during such a busy weekend. The breakfast was also sensational.

I am terrible with names however the hostess that helped us was soooooo amazing! Friendly , welcoming and helpful! Our room in this historic residence was perfect and overlooked the garden. The breakfast in the morning was so good! Plus just down the street was a pub you could walk to. We loved everything about our stay. I can’t thank the hostess enough for being an amazing part of our trip :)
