Had a great stay at the racecourse retreat, was pleasantly surprised with the toilets and showers which were clean and the women’s toilet being stocked up with feminine products, the campsite is in a beautiful location with great views and has spacious pitches, we loved the great addition of the bar and some very tasty pizza and loaded fries and all the staff we came in contact with were very friendly, the only downside was due to the weather we couldn’t use campfires but this was understandable but we will definitely be back 😁

What an amazing place to stay. Baz, and staff so helpful and friendly. The bar was brilliant, activities like the sand pit, ping pong and other bits for the kids to do were great. Toilets, showers, wash up area so clean and well stocked for us that forget fairy liquid. Overall a fantastic place to stay and we will be back for sure

Just spent 3 nights at this camp-site which has stunning views over the Derbyshire countryside - can be a bit windy at times. All staff on site are friendly and helpful. Plenty of room on the pitches (we had a tent) and great food/bar on offer Friday and Saturday nights. Good facilities - shared fridge and freezer (nothing went missing), 2 washing up areas with hot and cold running water, toilets and showers. As previously mentioned at busy times you can end up queuing for these and the showers are not particularly great but for what you pay we felt this was acceptable. The site is also planning on adding more toilets and showers in 2026. Overall a lovely site and exceptional value

Perfect little campsite. The owners are fantastic could not do enough for you. The toilets are spot less nice and clean . The showers are nice and hot plenty of room. The view is to die for. Plenty to do around matlock with in a 10,15 min drive . Dog friendly aswell. Even a football net for the children to play football. Would highly recommend this camp site. Definitely going to book again for next year
