What visitors say
Beryl's campsite is a fantastic place. I have camped there for the last 4 years in early May. You are camping in a beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt rural location in the Glorious South Hams of Devon. The campsite has excellent facilities and is well looked after. There are excellent fishing, walking and swimming opportunities nearby. I think this part of Devon is a place of real biodiversity. My favourite part of camping there is just listening to the dawn chorus in my tent at 4.30 am. The campsite seems to attract friendly fellow campers, especially those intrepid people walking the coastal path. A top tip. If you forget or need any camping, fishing or outdoor equipment don't worry. Ashby's shop, in East Charlton, is near to the campsite and they have an excellent selection of equipment.

Beautiful campsite, close to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Lovely clean showers, wash up area and toilet facilities cleaned regularly. The campsite is nestled in the countryside and very well cared for, peaceful location and no issue with phone signal. Lovely coastal walks from site with pubs and restaurants near by. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely wonderful campsite. Huge pitches, amazing facilities (always clean!) and very easy to book in. So much information provided, which was helpful for my anxious brain! Definitely out of the way down the tiniest Devon roads, but this made for a silent campsite at night (we loved the ‘quiet after 10pm’ rule!) Highly recommended, only wish we were there for longer!

We stayed for the best part of a week at the end of August - loved it! Lovely campsite - very generous pitches (although I think the pitches might have been quite variable, even the smaller ones looked spacious), clean showers and toilets (we joked that fairies must do the cleaning and toilet roll replenishing as we never saw anyone, but they were always spotless and well stocked!). Lovely quiet site (apart from those owls 🦉🦉 😂!), dark nights with bright stars (when we could see them!), plenty of space for kids to run about, particularly in the bigger field. Loved the little honesty shop and the availability of a fridge and freezer. Once we managed to find change, it wasn't a problem having the 20p/min showers, just strip off before you put the money in and stick enough in for what you expect to need. We don't tend to go to that area much (prefer to be closer to sandy beaches, but Bantham and South Milton were great and not too much of a drive), but if we did, we'd definitely stay again. The only thing that would have improved it for us would be a change machine or something, so that you could get change for the shower and honesty shop easily. I would also recommend pitches away from the info/shower block if you prefer a quieter pitch as it looked like there was a lot of footfall on a gravel path nearby. But other than that, fantastic site and we'll definitely recommend it to our friends. Thanks Liz for a lovely stay.
