What visitors say
The Highlights: Bulworthy Forest Lodges is situated in an idyllic countryside setting that is incredibly peaceful. It truly is the perfect spot for a writer's escape. Our host, Liz, was absolutely amazing—kind, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to her guests. The Lodge: The accommodation itself is charming, though it is a bit dated and would benefit from some modernization. While the atmosphere is lovely, we did encounter some cleanliness issues, specifically finding a rotting oyster left in the dishwasher. This mirrored some previous reviews I’ve seen suggesting that guests bring their own cleaning products. The Hot Tub: We used the hot tub in the evenings, but the experience was "hit and miss." The control panel functions were temperamental, and the water clarity left me unsure about the last time it had been deep-cleaned or serviced. I didn't raise this with Liz at the time as she is so kind and I didn't want to be a bother, though I’m confident she would have handled it immediately if asked. Future Concerns (External Planning): Prospective guests should be aware that there is currently a planning proposal for a large-scale solar farm on a neighboring property (unrelated to the lodges). While I hope this doesn't go through for the sake of Bulworthy Forest, a development of that scale would unfortunately deter me from returning to the area, as it would significantly change the beautiful, untouched landscape that makes this location so special. Summary: A wonderful place if you prioritize peace and hospitality, but it does require a bit more attention to detail regarding maintenance and deep cleaning.

The lodge (fishers wood) was well equipped, great shower, but really lacked touches to make it more comfortable. Beds weren't very comfy, and seating wasn't great for 4 people. It was very hot while we were there and was stifling in bedrooms. It would really benefit from outside seating/dining area. There was only a bench seat on veranda. The lakes were pretty stagnant and toads leading in and out very narrow and potholed. Overall a beautiful, peaceful area

We had a lovely bank holiday break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge was spotlessly clean, well-presented, and set in a beautifully and peaceful forest setting. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Liz was incredibly helpful and friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a serene and tranquil getaway, we would highly recommend these holiday lodges.

Very nice woodland setting, well set up and laid out log cabins in the woods, dog loves the walks, hot tubs are a nice touch for relaxing, shops are a short drive away( 30 mins ish) rooms are nice and spacious, great for a remote location, not walking to local pub- nearest 1 hr 10mins google estimate. But bring your own drinks and food , ninja electric smokers are excellent addition some cabins have dishwashers, i think all have washing machines, its England so you cant guarantee the weather but there is plenty to do in surrounding areas.
