Enjoy time away from it all with your own private yurt, with private facilities, set in the Dartmoor National Park.

About Dartmoor Yurt Holidays

Tucked into a peaceful corner of Dartmoor National Park near Newton Abbot, Dartmoor Yurt Holidays offers a proper escape from everyday noise. Each yurt comes with its own private facilities—showers, toilets, drinking water—so you're not trudging to a shared block, and dogs are welcomed into the fold. There's no WiFi, which feels entirely deliberate: this is a place to unplug, listen to moorland winds, and actually look up at the stars.

The setup strikes a nice balance between wild seclusion and practical comfort, ideal if you want Dartmoor's heather and granite tors on your doorstep without sacrificing a warm bed and a proper wash. It's straightforward, well-judged, and quietly memorable.

What visitors say

The Dollinater

Really lovely and peaceful. The caravan we stayed in was beautiful, mandalas, two garden areas just for us, surrounded by trees - heaven. Wendy and Larry are extremely helpful; easy to contact but they don’t bother you. Just the place if you want total rest, there isn’t too much phone signal etc but there is 4G. We don’t watch tv so I don’t know about that, but I would suggest you download anything you want prior to your visit. For us it’s perfect and we plan to return, we had been meant to stay in the converted truck but they knew I wasn’t well and suggested the caravan as it was cooler. That was so kind, and worked out realy well, but we must stay in the truck as it looks so much fun! That’s in its own area too, we walked down and we saw where it was, and it’s lovely. I can’t choose between the two, both are equally lovely so we think we’d like to choose the truck next time. The yurts look great too, but we can’t sleep down too low or we might never get up again! We extended our stay by a couple of days as it was so perfect. Our dogs were also made very welcome, they’re tiny and ancient, and had a wonderful time. We can’t recommend it enough.

Honestly one of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed at and the best hosts you could ask for. Wendy and Larry were so welcoming and really chilled. Gave us a few guitars to jam around the fire and made us feel so welcome. Ben’s Farm shop just around the corner kept us well fed with outstanding local produce (and cider!). We’ll be back for sure! What a place.

Had a magical 3 nights here with 4 friends. Wendy and Larry are very friendly and welcoming, while at the same time, we had freedom and privacy to enjoy the large fire-pit and barbecue and, hiking the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend and will return as soon as possible!
