About Hole Station Campsite
Tucked into natural deciduous woodland near Beaworthy, Hole Station Campsite offers a genuinely back-to-basics retreat for grown-ups seeking quiet and simplicity. Each pitch comes with its own tarp shelter and the freedom to light campfires, creating a proper woodland camping atmosphere that feels worlds away from manicured sites. Dogs are welcome to roam the leafy surroundings.
Facilities are kept deliberately minimal—showers, toilets, drinking water—and there's no WiFi, which suits the ethos perfectly. It's adults-only, so expect a peaceful vibe rather than family hustle. A few visitors note the site can feel a touch rustic in places, but for those after an unplugged Devon escape with flames crackling and leaves overhead, it's a gem.

Beryl and Scarlett were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay with you. The Bluebell was classy and comfortable. It had all the necessary amenities and we loved that it was quite and tranquil nestled into the greenery of the landscape. We saw wild bunnies, robins, coal tits and we even heard an owl and a woodpecker near by. Thank you for having us❤️🙏

Had a lovely stay here. Scarlett greeted us and got us up to speed with the site and facilities. The pitches are perfect, with some more deep into the woods than others, but all with plenty of space and sufficiently spread out from each other. The provided tarp shelters are a great idea, and save packing and pitching your own, but be aware that not every pitch has them. We had one rainy morning and it gave us a space to go and make a coffee and hang out until the rain passed. Toilet and showers are basic, as you'd expect on this type of site, but clean and with reliable hot showers. It was perfectly quiet except for bird song, and we even saw a deer one evening.

My wife and I needed some chill out time after a hectic few weeks, we definitely found it here! Camp fires in the evening (fire pits supplied) and barbecue after walks to some great local pubs and the gin distillery where you can enjoy a relaxing G&T, a must to visit to visit! If you’re looking for a great camping experience I can definitely recommend this place.
