Green and tranquil 20 acre glampsite with private bathrooms, set between the Cornish and Devon coasts and Dartmoor.

About Reforge Retreat

Between Devon's north coast and the wilds of Dartmoor, Reforge Retreat unfolds across 20 green acres near Black Torrington—a genuinely tranquil spot for families seeking space and stillness. Each pitch comes with its own private bathroom, a rare luxury that removes the usual campsite shuffle, and campfires are positively encouraged as evening falls. WiFi keeps you connected when needed, though the setting itself—rolling fields, distant hedgerows—does most of the work.

Open year-round, it's equally suited to summer adventures and off-season escapes, with both Cornish and Devon coastlines within striking distance. Note that pets aren't permitted, so plan accordingly if you usually travel with four-legged friends.

I stayed on Xanadu, the house on the lake, with my husband to celebrate his birthday. It was magical: from birdwatching on the floating decking to seeing the pink sunrise from the double bed, the views were stunning. We felt simultaneously adventurous and snug in the beautifully designed wooden house. My husband has some mobility issues, and Reforge were super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We will never forget this stay.

I stayed in "The Writer's Hut" with my five-year-old, and we both absolutely loved it. I love the peacefulness and the beauty of the place: It feels so far away from the busy world. All we could hear was birdsong and the steady trickle from the brook. My five-year-old thought it was the best adventure ever: With so much beautiful nature to explore, her magical imagination just ran wild. This place is good for the soul.

Honestly I think this is hands down the best campsite we have ever stayed at. From the staff to the owner, the grounds and the atmosphere were awesome. We loved the quirky little pub and the communal cooking/games area. I would highly recommend this site for any group or occasion. Thank you faith and team for an amazing weekend.

Lovely relaxing stay, so chilled and just to take in the scenery was fantastic, so nice, just to sit under the trees and read, so peaceful. At night seeing the stars and a couple of shooting stars while drinking a glass of wine, who needs anything more, Faith was helpful and friendly and the bar was awesome. The lakes are lovely just to sit around and watch the fish,. We both did the cycle routes which followed the old train routes in the area, We will certainly be going back in the future. Ian x mimi
