This was our 2nd visit within 7 months to this park as we enjoyed ourselves as a family so much back in August. We stayed in a 3 bed lodge with hot tub which was pet friendly. The lodge itself was fine, dated, but fine. The beds were super comfy and the views across the estuary were superb. We even saw the sun! The lodge was well equipped but dated, we stayed in Feb so it was a good price due to low season. Would we pay full price in August...no, the lodge isnt worth it. We paid for the wifi at £15 for 5 days but in all honesty, dont bother as it doesnt connect to the tv at all despite numerous tries. Oakcliffe is secluded and quiet so its lovely. Now the negatives...the lodge smelt of dog ( not ours!), especially when the heating was on and the carpets also smelt of dog. We also had an issue with cleanliness, we walked to open our hot tub and there was the previous guests towels left and dirty tissues, unacceptable. This was a top lodge so this is just not good enough but i phoned reception and they too were horrified and apologised. Now the main issue on this trip, we arrived just over an hour early at Oakcliffe and there were 5 or 6 spaces on the main car park as it was low season so we parked our car. I went and spoke to Liz on reception and asked if we could pop the car next to the lodge as we knew which lodge we were having but was told no. Which was fine. However, i then said to Liz, we will leave our car on the main car park and pop for a walk until our lodge is ready. I was taken a back when i was told by Liz that we could not leave our car on the main car park and we needed to move it. This rather shocked me as there was plenty of spaces on the car park and i didnt understand why it needed to be moved as its the main car park for Oakcliffe guests and we were checking in. I was still advised to move it off the site. Well...it was fine when we left it previously in august so i didnt understand why it needed to be moved. We are returning guests to this site ( 2 x in 7 months) and holiday and family time is precious so this was not a good start to our holiday. Also the lodge was ready in 20 mins so there was no need to move our car off the site and the car park was still empty ( it was february). Its a shame that the car park fiasco happened as we had a great time. We usually re book but not this time unfortunately.

“Very disappointed with our stay. On the first morning we were woken up at 9am by tree cutting taking place right around the lodge. The noise was extremely loud, with branches and debris even hitting the windows, and it continued until around 12pm. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing break. We had specifically planned to relax in the hot tub and have breakfast on the decking, but due to the noise, machinery, and work going on around the lodge, we were unable to do either and had to completely change our plans. To make matters worse, the following day we returned to find the owner had parked a JCB on the drive outside the lodge and were then told they would be back later to continue cutting more trees down. This should have been communicated before booking, as having heavy machinery and ongoing work around the lodge is unacceptable when paying for a holiday stay. Overall, this was not the peaceful experience we paid for and we would not recommend staying here.”

Stayed here in August 2025 in a 2 bed Osprey Plus. Really enjoyed our time here and was a perfect week long break. Booked last minute, so got a good deal. The site itself is VERY quiet and seems to be mainly privately owned mobiles with a few rentals scattered around it. There were lots of empty units when we were there. It's very different to the absolutely manic Ladysmile site up the road (not walking distance), which we visited twice but didn't really like. Oakcliff was an oasis of calm compared to it! Especially the pool at Oakcliff. Oakcliff is also closer to beach, bars and takeaways which are all within easy walking distance (although up a steep hill coming back). Mobile home was perfect. Felt fresh and new and perfectly clean. Very well equipped too, with better kitchen utensils than you'd normally get in these rentals. Lovely deck area and the hot tub was an added bonus.

Lovely lodge, immaculately clean and well furnished and maintained. Even charging points, thank goodness, as I'd left my plug at home! Needed a relaxing break away and chose because of the private hot tub.
