Owl Valley Glamping sits just outside Bideford in a peaceful corner of North Devon, offering a proper digital detox on a small off-grid site. Choose between beautifully furnished cabins or a geodesic dome, all with well-equipped kitchens, fire pits and hot tubs ready to bubble away on arrival. Staff are notably attentive, even transporting luggage to your pitch, and the private setting around a wildlife pond makes it easy to switch off completely.
There's a communal games area for rainy afternoons, and the location works well as a touring base for exploring the north Devon coast. No pets allowed and genuinely no WiFi here — which is very much the point.

We have just returned from a much needed break in Barn Owl. I'm really sad that it didn't live up to its promise. On reading the description and facilities we decided it was fantastic. Hot tub; BBQ and a lovely fire pit to sit and relax the evening away. However, there was no fire pit/chimnea available. When we spoke to Chris he advised that the previous guests had broken it and he hadn't had time to replace. This was so disappointing and we made this clear. To us it did actually spoil what we expected and sadly one did not appear on our third night we actually decided to leave early as no pleasure sitting out in the cold. I feel that it would have been appropriate to offer us one of the empty accommodations that had all the facilities we had booked and paid for. Sadly, we lost the money for our last night. We are also promised luxury soap/shampoo, but not actually provided which meant a dash to the supermarket the following morning. We are really upset that our disappointment was not really understood. But in our eyes the complete package promised was not available.

We absolutely loved our stay at Owl Valley. It was so peaceful. The lodges were perfect and so comfortable. My children made many happy memories playing in the woods. We will definitely be back.

What an absolutely wonderful little place for a break away. The hosts couldn't be more welcoming. Chris met us at the car to take the bags down on his quad. Hot tub was warm and ready to go when we arrived. Stunning little cabin with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of blankets, games to play, all you needed to cook etc, super comfy beds and decorated beautifully- we stayed in tawny owl. So peaceful and quiet and even better that there was no phone signal. Honestly fantastic, thank you so much for having us.

This was our second stay at Owl Valley and we will definitely be back again. Thanks Chris for creating a place to escape to, enjoy the simple things from watching the early morning deer to listening to the Tawny owl at sunset from the hot tub! Lots of fun had exploring the stream and enjoying the games hut. Highly recommend.
