About Thornbury Holiday Park

Tucked into peaceful Devon countryside 25 minutes from Bude, Thornbury Holiday Park is a small, rural touring site that feels genuinely away from it all. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the onsite lakes, while families enjoy meeting the resident animals that give the place a gentle, farmyard charm. Dogs are welcome throughout, making it a favourite with four-legged travellers.

Facilities cover the essentials—electric hook-ups, showers, toilets and drinking water—though there's no chemical disposal point, so tourers will need to plan accordingly. The setting is undeniably lovely, with open views and a relaxed atmosphere that suits those looking to unwind rather than be entertained. It's a solid, no-frills base for exploring the North Devon coast and moorland beyond.

Our family of 14 stayed at Thornbury over the weekend and we had a great time. We stayed across the Lodge, Bungalow and Caravan. All were clean and had everything we needed. We played games on the green outside and enjoyed walks around the lakes. Seeing the animals around the farm was a lovely bonus and the children loved the goats. There is no bar currently but this didn't impact our stay. The small park was lovely for the younger children and the older ones enjoyed the slide as well. The owners were great and very friendly.

This place is a great little gem, especially if you have kids. We stayed in a lodge, which was spacious, clean and had everything you would need. There is a great open area, fishing lake and a play park. We also went on a little stroll around the area, which was beautiful. The children we so happy to see chickens, rabbits and the goats, and we took a stroll to see them every day :) there is also a play park and bar. Very accessible and disability friendly which is another huge plus! The only negative is that we didn’t stay longer! But we will 100% be back again in the very near future :) Highly recommend, 10/10 🤩

Lovely place, we stayed for a wk in Aug. We stayed in Cedar which needs updating, decor is tired in comparison to the one our other family members stayed in. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, lovely walks around the ponds and meadows with a large enclosed field to let dogs off. We had a few encounters with the feathered neighbours, with one particular Cockeral ruling the roost! 😆 lots of character, made for an effective baby gate. The place would benefit from the bar being open during busier wks. Overall very enjoyable wk and would recommend 👌

Fantastic family campsite. Everything you need for a great get away. Facilities are well looked after and the fishing lake is full of fish (impossible not to catch). Lovely waking up to chickens and rabbits. Owners are really friendly too. Such a peaceful place and will be back for sure.
