Surprise 70th birthday booking, mid-december. Beautiful house with stunning period features. We were upgraded to the Admiral Suite with great sea view and period wrought iron balcony. Pip looked after us very well, we were lucky with the weather, so all in all a lovely birthday weekend. Thanks Pip 😊

I stayed here with family who had hired the whole house. I stayed in room 6. The bathroom window wouldn't shut. Water didn't stay in the sink. One pillow had no pillow case on just a pillow protector which was stained yellow. If I wanted to have the bedroom window open I couldn't as the sashcoards were broken so I used a step stool to wedge the window open. The drawers wouldn't open so kept clothes in suitcase. If I wanted to turn the radiator down I couldn't as the knob kept turning round and was awkward to reach as behind the draws. The settee in the snug needs a complete clean or replacing and was not cleaned under the cushions as the tv remote slid between cushions so I had to lift up and it was full of debris. Kitchen cupboard fronts hadn't been wiped and were greasy. DO NOT PARK UNDER THE TREE AS MY CAR WAS COVERED IN BIRD POO. As someone that has won four in a bed with another property I would have expected better. As a holiday let owner myself I think more attention to detail is required especially if you're letting the house out completely. I did leave all this in the suggestion box. The house could do with a thorough re paint and a de-clutter of personal items. Also pictures of the local area instead of other places like st.michaels mount which is on the wall in room 6. Bigger towels as well as the small bath towels would help.
