Whitehill Country Park

Absolutely beautiful park and luxurious lodge with everything that we needed. The site itself is lovely, clean and all staff members were friendly and helpful during our stay. The pool, playground, soft play, arts and crafts room and arcade are fantastic and kept little ones busy! The Whizz Kids entertainment was really good fun too. We had great food and service at the Hayloft and takeaway throughout the week. Overall, we were sad to leave and highly recommend it, especially for parents with small children. Overall, we had a nice trip and enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal, and the park itself was well maintained and tidy, which made for a pleasant environment. In terms of the food, the burgers were fairly average and, if we’re being honest, tasted a bit cheap. The pizza, however, was noticeably better and more enjoyable. The hot tub was immaculate and clearly very well maintained, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the lodge itself did not quite meet the same standard. The sofa had a strong damp, mouldy smell and visible stains especially on the arms, which made it quite unpleasant to sit on for long periods and meant we avoided spending much time in the lounge area. Additionally, the carpets appeared dirty in places, with several stains visible, particularly in the higher-traffic areas around the bed. Despite these issues, we still had a good trip overall, largely thanks to the great location and the generally tidy condition of the park.

Stayed here in our motorhome for a family birthday. We had 2 pitches, one glamping pod and the Winstan Lodge between us. Although on a hilly location the pitches themselves were remarkably flat. Hardstanding with shared electrical points. The camping facilities were fantastic! Looked like new, if not, very well maintained. Super clean showers and toilets. Family shower rooms and disabled facilities as well, even a room with a bath. Washing up area as well as all the other amenities you may need. Obviously, we have visited in March outside of school holidays so unsure how busy/hectic it gets but I can definitely say out of season it is extremely peaceful and very quiet. The glamping pod was very cosy and charming (what I would say is the glamping pod was a little basic for 'glamping' in this day and age. You would of expected a few more home comforts). And the lodge was of great standard, immaculate, great facilities and decorated to a high quality. Very well insulated you only needed the heating on for 30mins and the whole lodge was extremely warm to the point we had to crack a window. The swimming pool was also of high quality with additional elements like spa jets and a waterfall feature which made the experience feel a little more luxury. Again we went out of season so the pool was very quiet but I could imagine swimming places filling fast in the holidays, which may get a bit chaotic. All in all a great little holiday location.

Just returned from a weekend stay at Whitehill. The team were really helpful when we called and explained we’d booked the wrong weekend and they managed to alter the weekend for us and we could remain in our original caravan. Caravan was a good size, a little cramped with the table and additional furnishings but just moved some items around. We did book the VIP Signature, hot tub was great and well maintained but WiFi was poor. I couldn’t access the app to book anything using the WiFi, even at main reception. We were unable to stream to the TV which we felt was a bit misleading. I can not comment on food or the pool as we didn’t use these. The arcade is small but it’s fine for a little park. Soft play was also quite small, I imagine it would be a lot busier when the site picks up. Overall, really enjoyed the site and would return. Everything was within 10 minute driving distance which is a massive bonus!
