Barnhay Cottage
South Hams
Barnhay Cottage is a period property in the South Hams village of Stoke Gabriel, built on three storeys with genuine character. The ground floor opens into a living room and dining room, each with a gas fire, and a well-fitted kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, and dishwasher. Patio doors lead to an enclosed courtyard, with steps up to a raised terrace that overlooks the Mill Pool and River Dart. The terrace has garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals.
Five bedrooms and two bathrooms sleep up to eight. The first floor has a bedroom with a zip-and-link super king bed (or twin singles), a kingsize, a double, and a day bed with a pull-out single, plus an ensuite with walk-in shower and a main bathroom with spa bath. The second floor holds another double bedroom. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage welcomes one dog free of charge, and families with young children will find a travel cot, high chair and stairgates already in place. No smoking throughout.
Stoke Gabriel sits on the River Dart, a short walk from the quayside and village centre. On-road parking is available, and a season ticket for a nearby public car park is provided.
