About The Saddleworth Hotel
The Saddleworth Hotel suits travellers who want the moors on their doorstep without sacrificing a proper bed, a hot meal and somewhere to park the car for free. It sits well for walkers, golfers using the nearby course, and anyone attending a wedding or meeting, given the hotel's own function rooms and event facilities.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Free WiFi, room service and drinks in the room are standard, and 24 hour reception means arrivals and late finishes aren't a problem. Laundry service and luggage storage add practical convenience for longer stays or those breaking up a longer journey.
Breakfast is served on site, along with a restaurant and bar for evening meals and a drink after a day on Saddleworth Moor. There's also a garden for some air between excursions. Beyond the hotel, Diggle offers nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, making it a reasonable base for exploring the wider area on foot or by car, with free on-site parking throughout the stay.
Guests mention this hotel offers beautiful outdoor ceremony spaces with stunning views and delicious, well-presented food. They also highlight the attentive staff, reasonable drink prices, and spotless, well-maintained rooms.
Some reviews mention the management can be dismissive.
