A Place In The Pennines Absolutely gorgeous little hidden gem stayed for a Suprise birthday switched to here after finding it after I booked elsewhere and they wouldn’t let me decorate, this lovely owner let me fill the room with birthday decorations and he absolutely loved it. It was so cosy and relaxing we snuggled straight to sleep 😴 😆. Proper cute little set up and I bet views are beautiful in the day will definitely retune to enjoy them more and spend more time relaxing thanks again, Suzanne x Also used the property WiFi so I could watch tv on the roof with the projector I brought as no tv at the place was brilliant x

A great place to stop with our campervan. Lovely location between the canal and the river, short walk into town. The warden, Mark, was very welcoming. Lovely to hear of what the owners do to help young adults with cancer.

I'm not sure if I was just unfortunate with my stay,but I found on arrival there was a few cleaning issues, also logs and firestarters for log burner not provided but was rectifyed.The place itself was next to a larger carpark where camper vans park up for the night so not as secluded or private as it would first seem .More place by the woods than in and for such a small track there was plenty of traffic.There was a few things that definitely need improvement from oven mit to use the log burner to a more comfortable seating area and a blind for the large window in the door for more privacy would be nice.I did have to clean the seating area outside and was told I would receive my cleaning fee ...which still hasn't been sent

We parked here in our camper van and absolutely loved it. We walked a 9 mile trail on the Saturday and when we got back our diesel heater had decided to pack in, Mark loaned us his own fire pit and gave us some wood to get some warmth. We found him so helpful and accommodating. There was nothing he could have done more to make our stay more enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend for a camper van park up facility’s was clean and functional, we will definitely visit again.
