About Frome View Camping

If you've been keeping a beady eye out for buzzwords like peaceful, farm and the Jurassic Coast, now is a good time to hit pause. Frome View Camping is a quiet site on a dairy farm on the Isle of Purbeck, within 20 minutes' drive of famed Jurassic Coast locations like Lulworth Cove, Old Harry Rocks, Dancing Ledge, Swanage beach, Kimmeridge Bay and – perhaps the area's most well-known spot – Durdle Door.

Well-maintained, family-friendly and laidback, this site sits in a handy spot just outside Wareham, where pubs, restaurants, shops and the riverside walking path are all within 20 minutes' walk. Mornings can begin with a stroll into town for brunch at a café or to hire a boat to explore the river Frome, while evenings may revolve around a barbecue dinner or some time at the communal firepit. Picnic tables are provided for your meals, and the site also has essential facilities including toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point.

Wareham station is a 30-minute walk from the farm, and there's a handy pub about five minutes' walk away for a short evening stroll.

What a fantastic little campsite. Phil the owner is a legend, attentive and engaging. The showers were clean and hot, the loos were cleaned daily and any issues fixed rapidly. There are potable water points around the site and for the more hard core campers a chemical disposal. Its less than 20min walk into town with great pubs and there is loads to do in the local area. We will almost certainly be back.

A beautiful uncrowded site with spotless showers and toilets, a fabulous local pub and loads to do in the area. Unfortunately the weather was against us but Phil could not do enough as a host to make our stay perfect. I highly recommend and will be back.

Loved our stay here. Great location for exploring the area, good site with loads of room and the facilities were spotless. Good communication when we had to change our dates and a warm welcome when we got there. Pitches to the right as you enter the field are a bit exposed to wind but not too bad. Pub is a short walk away and there are nice river walks from the campsite. Wareham is easily walkable. Swallows flitting around the field added to the wonderful experience.

Great little campsite that's just getting going. Owner lives and farms nearby and is very helpful and responsive. BBQs or campfires okay so long as raised off the ground or using purpose built areas.
