About Sandford Holiday Park
Tucked into woodland at Holton Heath, Sandford Holiday Park is a full-scale Parkdean Resorts base a few miles from Wareham and well placed for both Poole Harbour and the Isle of Purbeck. The touring pitches are notably spacious and level, set among mature pines that offer better shelter than many coastal sites in Dorset. Facilities run deep: heated indoor pool with slide and spray features, heated outdoor pool with toddler splash zone and musical wet play, evening entertainment, sports courts, play areas, bars, restaurants and even a dog agility course. Free wi-fi covers designated zones, with paid access in accommodation.
It's emphatically not a quiet field — expect activity and evening noise — but families return for the reliability on wet days and the range of on-site diversions. Pricing starts modestly out of season (from around fifteen pounds a night) but rises sharply in school holidays. The location works well for touring: Corfe Castle, Studland and Swanage all lie within half an hour, Wareham station is close, and Poole Quay with its Brownsea ferries is nearby.

What visitors say
A bit of a bumpy start to our holiday and would advise to avoid the fish and chip shop as overpriced, food and service there was not great. We reported this to the Manager, Mark who kindly listened to our feedback and went on to investigate, for our feedback he kindly gave my family and I a subbed meal in the boat house restraunt. We ate here a few times and it was always scrummy. The service was always great and the food was reasonably priced. My boys enjoyed the evening entertainment. The caravan was clean and well kept, cleaning staff lovely and checked in the next day to see all was up to scratch.

We had a fantastic stay at Parkdean Resorts Sandford. The park was clean, well-maintained and had a lovely, friendly atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The staff were welcoming, helpful and always happy to assist with any questions. Our accommodation was spotless, comfortable and well-equipped, making it feel like a real home away from home. There was plenty to do for all ages, with great facilities, excellent entertainment and a variety of activities to keep everyone entertained. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful surrounding area, and we really appreciated how peaceful and relaxing the park was. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend Parkdean Resorts Sandford to family and friends. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!

Review of our weekend camping stay at Parkdean: We have just spent the weekend camping at Parkdean Sandford and we have had a brilliant weekend. Pitches - were smaller than we are used to but plenty of trees overhead for shade which was handy in the hot weather. Our pitch was also lined by small bushes around the edge which gives some privacy. Staff - really helpful and friendly everywhere we went. The high rope staff were patient and kind with my boys who were nervous and needed help. The staff at the bar checked in with how the holiday was going. Pool - plenty of lifeguards around the outdoor pool area it felt really safe. There was a queue to get in but this felt fair and a coloured band system was used. Toilets / showers - I frequently saw multiple staff cleaning these at different times of day. They always smelt pleasant and were clean. There were big shower cubicles with enough space to get dressed and no push button shower which was great. Showers were always warm. Activities - Lots of activities to choose from if you wanted to do these. Also free activities such as the pantomime were great. Kids entertainment on the evening. On site food - We ate twice at the boathouse restaurant on site and thought the food was really tasty and came out quick. Thank you Sandford Parkdean for a brilliant weekend stay. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Sandford Park in the touring area and, unfortunately, were disappointed with the overall standard of maintenance. The touring pitches are not level, and many have high raised edges that make access difficult. We saw several expensive motorhomes bottoming out when trying to get onto their pitches. The hedges and grass also appeared poorly maintained, with overhanging tree branches rubbing against the roofs of motorhomes. As a former Site Manager for the CAMC, I know what a well-managed site should look like, and I felt the grounds here fell well below that standard. During our four-day stay, I didn't see any staff carrying out routine grounds maintenance, and the team appeared to be made up of very young employees. The toilet block was functional but in need of updating asap. The swimming pool was another disappointment, with moss growing around the waterline along the entire edge of the pool, which gave a poor impression. On a positive note, the entertainment centre was pleasant, and the staff there were friendly and welcoming. However, the prices were on the expensive side. Overall, the site has potential, but it would benefit from much better grounds maintenance and attention to detail to justify the price. We would not Stay at this site again.
