Thirty-two acres of wildflower meadows in the Purbeck Hills form the backdrop to this wonderfully secluded site, where huge 10-metre pitches are mown into waist-high grass and reached only by winding paths. Campers praise the peaceful atmosphere and genuinely wild feel, though two smart composting toilets, a washing-up station with biodegradable soap and fresh water taps keep things civilised. Cars stay in a separate area—wheelbarrows are on hand, or pay a small fee for the quad-bike shuttle to your pitch.
Visitors highlight the owner's exceptional helpfulness, from local tips to early-morning bakery runs, and many rent fire pits with fuel provided. This is a leave-no-trace site—you'll take away your own rubbish—and quiet after 9pm, with only the distant whistle of the Swanage steam train and wildlife sounds. This place is awesome! We had a wonderful time here and would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here. Bex is a great host and honestly can't seem to do enough for you, whether it is recommendations of places to go or to eat, to making a morning bakery run for you, she is a brilliant host and lights up your stay. My partner particularly loved how quiet it was with the soft 'hooing' of the owls in the distance and then the 'whistling' of the steam train in the morning. Not usually one for rough camping, Threshold farm completely opened her eyes to the beauty of it all. 10 out of 5 stars!

This was the first time we have used any Off Grid Camp location. It was a truly beautiful spot, pheasants running round our tent, deer running past and all sorts of other wildlife. Thoroughly recommend it to others. P.s our dog loved all the space to run around in.

When you think about wild camping, this place is what you can only imagine. Pack up your 4x4 and drive to Threshold Farm on the Jurassic Coast. Here you will be walking through beautiful regenerative meadows, through woodlands and ancient coppice, sleeping amongst the local wildlife and warming yourself on an open fire while watching the mist roll down the valley. Your host Rebecca is a young, hardworking farmer dedicated to the transformation of the farm and is doing a wonderful job. Your pitch will be spacious, quiet and a long way from anyone else. I can't recommend it enough.

I had a fantastic stay at Threshold Farms and honestly could not have asked for a better wild camping experience. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and waking up to wide open views and peaceful countryside felt like a real escape from everyday life. The host was wonderfully gracious and welcoming and It is clear to me that a lot of care has gone into creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The toilet facilities were spotless, well maintained and thoughtfully set up. If you are looking for beautiful scenery and a genuinely welcoming place to camp, Threshold Farms is an absolute gem. I will definitely be coming back this summer and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful countryside getaway.
