Barleycorn

Barleycorn is a single-storey barn conversion on the owner's grounds in rolling West Dorset countryside, between Sherborne and Dorchester. Everything you need for a self-catering break is provided: heating, electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are all covered. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher—and there's a living space with Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player. The bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as two singles or a super king, and there's an ensuite wet room with shower.

Access is via 2 steps to the entrance, with all rooms on the ground floor. Outside, you have an enclosed garden with lawn and patio seating, plus private parking for 2 cars. One dog is welcome. The location works well for country walks, visiting village pubs, and exploring the nearby World Heritage Coast. Sherborne's historic town centre and Dorchester's market are both close by, along with several country houses and attractions within reach. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are 2½ miles away. No smoking inside.
