Dorset Escape is a single-level bungalow on a working farm near Dorchester, sleeping four across two bedrooms. The whole property is yours alone, with a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and direct access to an enclosed garden that includes a summerhouse. One dog stays free, making it popular with owners keen on countryside walks from the doorstep.
Everything is on the ground floor. The first bedroom has a king bed, the second has two singles. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with a gas hob and electric cooker. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Outside, there's private parking and a patio area adjoining the summerhouse, where the garden is fully fenced. No smoking inside the property.
Gillingham station and local shops, pubs and restaurants are within reach, though the setting is genuinely rural. The layout suits guests who prefer not to manage stairs, couples after a quiet break, or anyone wanting space without formal accommodation feels.

What a totally charming place to stay. Endless star gazing and stunning sunsets. The hosts can not do enough to make you feel welcome. Can’t wait to come to this beautiful part of the country again.

The rustic barn conversion was amazing on our February half term trip with the kids and a dog. The location is incredible, right in the middle of rural Dorset with the most incredible views, hills and countryside! The farm offers lots of country entertainment like long walks in stunning surroundings and badger watching!! The very sociable kitchen was good the focal point, with plenty of pots and pans etc to cook for lots of people (we were 7). The rooms are rustic but very comfortable, there are curtains across some room door ways, others are simply up stairs on a mezzanine, so not total privacy, but enough for us. There is a big log burner, with plenty of logs, some more dry than others! Overall we absolutely loved our stay and we loved this place. If you like a rural, big, open holiday house, great for cooking and socialising and close to the jarassic coast then this is your place!!

Just back from a week at Dorset Escapes where a group of us hired the event field for a week to camp. Beautiful unspoilt countryside views, lots of places to ramble and explore and only 25 minutes to a dog friendly beach. Perfect vacation. Host is very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better venue to camp in isolation.

Never stayed in a barn before this and when it came to the end of our stay I never wanted to leave. It was amazing. The scenery is just stunning and there is undamaged land for miles around with nothing cluttering your view of the gorgeous countryside. At the farm there are plenty of facilities for use and we were able to cheekily get a quad bike tour of the Farmers land after some smooth persuading. My brain was pretty mush by the end of the quad trip but we saw some amazing places. I fully recommend staying here for a week or even more with friends or family and hope I can go again sometime. Absolutely 11/10.
