Hawthorn

Hawthorn is a modern house built within a nature reserve in Dorset, surrounded by lakes, walking trails and countryside within reach of the Jurassic Coast. The whole property is yours alone, sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Ground-floor spaces flow openly from the kitchen and dining area through to a sitting room centred on a wood-burning stove, with large doors that lead directly onto a deck overlooking the garden. An additional snug provides a quieter retreat. Upstairs, each bedroom has its own balcony; the standout feature is a rooftop terrace with views across the reserve.

The enclosed garden suits families and those travelling with a dog (one pet stays free), offering space to eat outside or simply enjoy the air. Inside, bed linen and towels are provided, along with electricity; the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. On-site leisure facilities include a heated outdoor pool, spa and gym. A pub lies within a mile. No smoking is permitted in the property. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.
