Oakdene Lodge makes an obvious base for exploring the area without the need to move on every few nights. This semi-detached property sleeps seven across four bedrooms, with three bathrooms spread through the house. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.

The ground floor holds two living spaces: a main room with an open fire and cinema surround sound, and a second sitting room warmed by a wood burner, both opening onto an extensive enclosed garden. The kitchen-dining room has everything needed for self-catering—electric range, dishwasher, microwave and the rest—alongside slate flooring and a farmhouse character. Upstairs, bedrooms range from a double with ensuite to a smaller single. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included; initial logs for both fires come with the booking. Moors Valley Country Park sits close by, welcoming dogs and offering walking trails, cycle hire, orienteering and adventure activities across its grounds. Avon Heath and Queens Copse provide quieter walking options nearby. The garden itself—lawned, enclosed and furnished with a sitting area and barbecue—gives reason enough to stay put on warmer days. No smoking is permitted inside.
