The farmhouse itself occupies 300 acres of working countryside in north-west Dorset, making it a genuine base for walking or cycling rather than a place to pass through. A fenced lake lies 100 yards away across the grounds.
Round Chimneys Farm – The Farmhouse has five bedrooms across three floors, accommodating twelve guests. The lower ground floor contains a games room with pool table and space to gather. Upstairs, a living area with woodburner opens to a kitchen and dining space that seats eighteen. Four bathrooms are distributed across the property – one a wet room on the ground floor, another with a roll-top bath on the first floor, and two ensuite shower rooms higher up. Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all covered; initial logs for the woodburner are included too. One dog stays free. A large enclosed garden with patio and barbecue faces the house, with parking for six cars on site.
The property suits groups, extended families or friends wanting a self-contained rural retreat where cooking together and shared meals make sense. Non-smokers only.

Looked for a lunch spot on way back from Sherborne and weren’t disappointed the ploughman’s was excellent drinks perfect and sausage sandwich. They sell beautiful food we picked up some butter and throughly enjoyed lunch.

What a little gem Round Chimneys Cafe is! When asked if they assist in hosting a small afternoon tea to celebrate a 90th birthday they couldn’t have been more helpful & accommodating. Well yesterday was the day and they certainly pulled out all the stops. We were seated in the open seating area barn and were treated to the most delicious cream tea - sandwiches, brownies, flapjacks, scones with cream & jam and of course an endless supply of tea, coffee & cold drinks. Alec and his team were just brilliant and all took time to chat with the birthday girl who at 90 felt very spoilt. Thank you so very much for making her birthday such a memorable afternoon.

Excellent cafe in a farm. Fresh produce, delicious cakes. Also can buy home reared beef/pork. Delightful.

A lovely laid back and helpful welcoming family that run the place. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there, stayed there with my family twice now and visited the cafe there once during the day. Ideal place for relaxation, scenery, and enjoying the cafe and seeing the farm animals. Highly recommend Edit. Clean and well equipped amenities too Thank you
