Dorchester sits within reach of the Dorset coast, ancient chalk downs, and villages worth a detour. The Old Dairy puts you on the edge of this landscape—a converted farmhouse on a working farm, all ground floor, with parking for two cars and enough space for four people to spread out comfortably. One bedroom has a king bed with ensuite shower; the other has a double and shares a shower room with the first. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, the living area has a woodburner for cooler evenings, and a small front garden with seating looks out over the surrounding fields.
Everything you need for a self-catering stay is here: wi-fi, electricity, bed linen, towels, and the initial fuel for the woodburner. Dogs are welcome at no extra cost—just keep them on a lead, as this is a working farm. The property suits families, couples, and groups of friends wanting a quiet base without the usual holiday cottage fuss. Bike storage is available if you want to explore on two wheels. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Spent a relaxed few days here. Jane the host was helpful and friendly, and very quick to answer any questions both before and during our stay. The property was very clean and well-equipped with everything you could need, and the welcome pack was an unexpected surprise. Very peaceful, surrounded by farmland and close to the Dorset coastline. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

The Old Dairy is a lovely place to stay, relax and enjoy the countryside. A very peaceful and tranquil setting yet near to the Jurassic Coast which is fantastic. The owners Jane and Martin are lovely and so friendly. The Old Dairy is equipped with everything you need for your stay and is very clean and comfortable . Highly recommend this place to stay and will definitely return.

Spent 3 nights at the property for a short break. The property is very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Great place to base yourself for some great walks. Would recommend, and we will be looking to return for a longer stay.
