The Stables at Green View

Rural Dorset surrounds Chard, a small market town within reach of the Jurassic Coast. The Stables at Green View is a single-storey cottage on the owner's property, private but neighbourly, with an enclosed garden and space for two cars. It suits couples wanting a quiet base with easy access to the countryside and coast alike.

Inside, everything is on ground level: a living and dining room with doors opening onto the garden and patio, a kitchen fitted with electric cooking and a washing machine, and a bedroom with a king bed and ensuite shower. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The large lawned garden has furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals, and there is an electric car charging point on site.

Lyme Regis is half an hour's drive away, Bridport twenty-five minutes, and the cliffs at West Bay rather less. Chard itself has a pub and restaurant within walking distance, and a shop a mile down the road. The cottage does not permit smoking.
