The Yurt

The Yurt is a genuine Mongolian structure set in the Dorset countryside near Ibberton, at the foot of Bulbarrow Hill. Everything you need is here: a double bed and two singles inside, an external kitchen area with gas hob for cooking outdoors, and a walk-in shower and toilet. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, so you arrive to a ready-made base rather than camping basics. One dog or cat stays free.

The location works for both walkers and cyclists. Footpaths leave almost from the door, leading through Blackmore Vale towards Bulbarrow and Ibberton Hill, while the Wessex Ridgeway passes nearby. Quieter country lanes wind through the surrounding villages for bike rides. The Ibberton, a 16th-century pub with local ales and seasonal food, stands just steps away if you want supper without cooking. Private parking is on site for two cars. No smoking inside the yurt.

The space sleeps four and suits couples, families or small groups wanting something different from a standard cottage. Check in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
