Upwey Cottages - Blacksmith’s Cottage
Dorset

Blacksmith's Cottage stands on what was once a working craftsman's site in Upwey, a village within reach of Weymouth's beach. The 2018-built property is timber-framed and named to reflect that heritage—the land belonged to the owner's grandfather, who worked in carpentry, metalwork and other trades around the village for decades. Now it's a self-contained cottage for four, with countryside views from the front and easy access to walking routes and bus services into Dorset.
Ground floor has a living and dining room with a 43-inch Smart TV, plus a kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one double and one with two single beds. One bathroom with shower and heated towel rail serves both. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are provided. One small dog stays free, and there's on-site parking for a car plus an outside plug socket for charging.
The location suits families and couples wanting to explore Dorset without being in Weymouth itself. The Jurassic Coast and its beaches are nearby. No smoking in the property.
