Alkham is a quiet countryside village in Kent, surrounded by walking and cycling routes that make it ideal for exploring the wider area on foot or by bike. Saddlers Cottage sits on the village outskirts as part of a small cluster of three properties, each with its own garden and parking. The setting is rural but within reach of Canterbury's cathedral and shops, Dover's castle and seafront, and the ferry terminals for France.
The cottage is a single-storey property sleeping two, with one bedroom containing a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. Downstairs there is a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are all included. A shared utility room with freezer and tumble dryer is available to guests, and a travel cot and highchair can be requested in advance.
Outside, an enclosed garden has patio seating, furniture and a barbecue. The standout feature is a private hot tub for year-round use. There is bike storage on site and parking for two cars. No smoking is permitted inside. The property suits couples or two friends wanting a break in the Kentish countryside with the option of day trips further afield.

We had the best Christmas staying here, the views, cottage and area were beautiful with the added bonus of our own hot tub and garden area. We (plus our dog) loved every minute of it and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! The hosts are fantastic and so helpful espcially when we left a christmas present behind. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back again! Thank you for a lovely Christmas away!

Saddlers Cottage - What a lovely accommodation, right in the heart of farm land with views overlooking the owners fields... Great property, well furnished and very homely... Perfect size for a couple and dog friendly so that's great... Ideal location to local amenities and within 15mins of Dover and Folkestone. Thanks Mark and Sue for a lovely stay 👍

We’ve just returned home from our stay here in Saddlers Cottage, what an amazing place to stay, peaceful and views to die for sitting in your own hot tub. Cottage was clean and comfortable and very doggy friendly. Martin greeted up and went through everything we need to know. We loved it so much we have booked it again.

Awesome little cottages. Mark and Sue the owners can't do enough for you. Hot tub is great after a hard day if exploring. You can really tell the care and attention that goes i to the upkeep of these cottages. I would thoroughly recommend for ANYONE. Long weekend, or week away, its perfect.
