About Field House Campsite
Tucked into the gentle folds of the Yorkshire Wolds near Driffield, Field House Campsite offers tranquil pitches on a working farm with sweeping countryside views. The on-site coffee shop is a welcome touch for lazy mornings, and there's a genuinely relaxed atmosphere that suits families and dog owners alike. Campfires are allowed, adding to the back-to-basics appeal, though facilities are fairly simple—showers and toilets are provided, but there's no chemical disposal point or WiFi, so you'll need to plan accordingly.
It's an honest, unpretentious spot that works well if you're after peace, rural views, and easy access to the Wolds' walking country without unnecessary frills.

What visitors say
Absolutely stunning! One of my favourite weekends away in a long time. The booking was simple and easy, the check in was straight forward and the hosts seemed lovely (they left us to it, which we prefer) The lodge is gorgeous, well decorated and maintained, cosy and equipped with everything you need. We loved the small touches like the pods for the coffee machine, the games, slippers and guest information book. It’s just on the outskirts of York so we drove in twice and also visited Malton and Helmsley. It was dog friendly and our pooch enjoyed his stay. We can’t wait to come back!! What an attentive owner, you should be proud 😊

Recently stayed in the Oak Tree Lodge with our Spaniel for the weekend and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We’ve stayed in a few similar places and this by far has been the cleanest of all. We really appreciate the website being so clear with what’s provided and if we stayed in this area again we would 100% consider booking again. So close to the pub down the road, local restaurants, fish and chip shop, and a little further down the road the York Designer Outlet and the Park and Ride. Thank you very much for a lovely stay 10/10 💛

Superb place, the Honey Pod is a well equipped and spotlessly clean space, it lacks nothing you’d need. Quiet and peaceful, lovely open view, just the sheep for neighbours! Would highly recommend for a quiet getaway, but also a nice base for York and its surroundings. Wendy and Stu were great, friendly and available, would love to visit again.

We had a lovely few days staying at honey pod. It was very well equipped with everything you could need to have a nice relaxing time. The only thing that let it down for us was the bed was very uncomfortable and we struggled to sleep. But other then that the place itself was just wonderful.
