Beautiful area with gorgeous scenic views. There's a car park close by which is a 5-10 minute walk maximum from the lake. You can hear a waterfall close by which im sure you could find easily if you have the time to go looking. Also was really quiet here so a great spot for photos. This particular spot is very windy though on a cold day so would recommend visiting on a warm day.

Excellent day had hiking around Ennerdale water. Absolutely stunning views. Paths on the south west area can by tricky to negotiate becoming more of a rock climb to get over and around. No toilet facilities, nearest pub is at Ennerdale Bridge
