About Foxgloves

Tucked into a private garden on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this single shepherd's hut offers a wonderfully secluded escape close to Wimbleball Lake. Built by the owners themselves, Foxgloves is thoughtfully kitted out with underfloor heating, a woodburning stove, armchairs, and a trunk of games and blankets for cosy evenings. Outside, there's a firepit (firewood provided) and barbecue, while a few steps away you'll find your own private kitchen with hob, oven and fridge, plus a spacious bathroom.

The resident goats, sheep, pigs and chickens add real charm – expect fresh eggs for breakfast if you fancy them. Owner Christine is a font of local knowledge, pointing guests toward Dulverton's excellent chip shop (15 minutes) and nearby walking routes. With just one pitch, peace is guaranteed, though the site's modest facilities mean you'll need to be content with simple, self-contained comforts. A lovely hideaway for couples seeking quiet and spectacular Exmoor scenery.
