Portpatrick is a working fishing village with a harbour at its heart and a small sandy beach where the Southern Upland Way begins its 212-mile crossing of Scotland. Anchor Cottage sits on elevated ground overlooking the village and towards the water, within walking distance of the harbour pubs and the coastal paths that branch out from here.
The property has two bedrooms—a kingsize upstairs and a double—sharing a single bathroom on the ground floor where you'll also find the kitchen, dining and living space arranged as one open room. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering: electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Out the back is an enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue, and there's parking for one car on site.
The cottage sleeps four and welcomes one dog. It's not a smoking property. Families travelling with young children will find a travel cot and highchair available.
