Beuchan Farm - Beuchan Cottage

Beuchan Cottage is a detached stone cottage built into the landscape of a working sheep and dairy farm. Everything is on the ground floor: a sitting room with an open fire and television, a kitchen with a full range of appliances including a washing machine, two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed, one with a single), and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The cottage is warm throughout, with oil central heating and logs for the fire provided. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included.

Outside, there is an enclosed lawned garden with a patio and garden furniture, plus private parking for one car. The cottage sleeps three and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 15:30 and checkout before 10:00.

The setting suits anyone wanting quiet countryside rather than being in a town. Thornhill (a small market town with independent shops) is 4 miles away. Drumlanrig Castle, one of Scotland's significant Renaissance buildings, is 5 miles off. The area is recognised for cycling, with the 7Stanes trails and Keir Mill bike routes nearby. The Solway coast beaches are 40 minutes by car, and Galloway Forest Park—known for its Dark Sky designation—is within reach for stargazing. A shop, pub and restaurant are 3 miles distant.
