Chesnut Pod

Dumfries and Galloway's rolling farmland and forest edges form the backdrop to Chesnut Pod, a single bedroom glamping retreat positioned for access to both woodland walks and the Solway coast. The pod sits on working farm land near Newton Stewart, putting Galloway Forest Park within reach and keeping you away from towns without cutting you off entirely.

The pod itself is compact but complete: a double bed in the sleeping area, a sofa bed for a second guest, kitchenette with hob and basic appliances, shower room, and enough insulation and double glazing to stay warm through the year. Electric heating and a wood burner take the chill off. You'll find bed linen, towels and electricity included; the kitchenette has what you need to cook simple meals or at least make tea.

Outside is where Chesnut Pod earns its appeal. A private hot tub for two overlooks the garden, while a patio with seating, barbecue and fire pit extends your living space into the open air. There is parking for one car on site. No smoking inside the pod. The working farm setting means you're genuinely removed from everyday noise, though you'll need to drive to restaurants and shops in Newton Stewart or Dumfries.
