Spruce Pod

Galloway Forest Park and its walking trails lie within reach of Spruce Pod, a single-bedroom glamping pod on a working farm near Newton Stewart. The surrounding countryside suits families wanting to explore rolling hills and lochs without sacrificing comfort—the pod is fully insulated and double glazed, with electric heating and a woodburner to keep things warm through the year. A kitchenette with two-ring hob, microwave and fridge handles simple cooking; bed linen and towels are provided.

The layout is straightforward: one bedroom with a double bed on the bottom bunk and a single above (flexible sleeping arrangements), plus a shower room. The main living space has a TV with Freesat and comfortable seating. Outside, the patio area includes seating, a barbecue and fire pit. The private two-person hot tub is the real draw—the location's dark skies make stargazing from the water genuinely worthwhile after sunset. One car can park on site. Smoking is not permitted.

The pod sits on farmland with views toward the Galloway Hills. No smoking is allowed; the water supply comes via borehole. Electricity is included, though fuel for the woodburner is not.
