Drumwall - Annabelle’s Den
Dumfries and Galloway
The Dumfries and Galloway coastline draws walkers, cyclists, golfers and water-sports enthusiasts year-round, and Annabelle's Den sits within reach of most of it. This detached lodge occupies a rural farm setting, yet the village of Gatehouse of Fleet is only a mile away, with shops, pubs and restaurants clustered around its centre. Kirkcudbright—known for its harbour and artist community—lies a short drive further, while beaches, Galloway Forest Park and several mountain-biking trails are all accessible without straying far.
The lodge is a single-storey, open-plan space done out to a high standard. One kingsize bedroom, one shower room, and a combined living, dining and kitchen area make up the whole of it. The kitchen has a full electric cooker, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer; essentials like electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. Outside, a private hot tub sits in the courtyard alongside garden furniture and a bike store. Two cars can park on the property. The owner shares access to a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. No smoking is permitted inside.
Nearby you'll find Cardoness Castle, the Mill on the Fleet Visitor Centre, and Threave Gardens (National Trust). Kirkcudbright hosts an annual summer tattoo and a revolving calendar of events. The lodge sleeps two and is yours alone.
