East Cottage

East Cottage is a 200-year-old stone building set right on the Solway shore, with the Galloway hills rising behind. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on a single ground floor with three bedrooms and two bathrooms: a kingsize, two singles, and a bunk room, so it works equally well for a family or two couples. Electricity, bed linen and heating are included, along with initial fuel for the woodburner.

The open-plan living and kitchen space has everything needed for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge—while a sun room and sitting room with woodburner provide comfortable places to gather. An enclosed garden with seating looks out over the coast. One dog stays free. You'll have parking for three cars on site, a bike store, and a cot and highchair if you need them. The cottage does not accept hen or stag parties.

You're steps from the beach and within reach of Scotland's second-oldest lighthouse. Dumfries and Galloway's coastal towns and countryside lie within easy driving distance.
