Float Bay View

Dumfries and Galloway

Float Bay View sits on the Rhins of Galloway, Scotland's most westerly peninsula. The house is newly built, positioned to catch views across the North Channel towards Ireland, and a walk down the lane brings you to Float Bay itself. It's the kind of place where sunsets matter—they happen over the water most evenings. The peninsula draws wildlife watchers: peregrine falcons, buzzards, porpoises and basking sharks all show up regularly.

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms sleep seven. Downstairs there's a living room with Freeview and a DVD player, a dining room, and a sun room; the kitchen has an electric range, dishwasher and microwave for cooking proper meals. One bedroom has a king bed and a sofa bed; the other two have a king and a pair of singles. A spa bath and separate shower cubicle are split across the two bathrooms. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. An enclosed garden with decking and a barbecue opens off the house. One dog stays free. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are three miles away in Stranraer.

Fabulous home from home, clean, warm with wonderful views. Take a stroll down to the bay.... Stunning.

Lovely house. Not local to anything, so it's worth taking into account. Little play area for young kids to enjoy. Only down side was the electric fence near the area outside where the kids may play. Internet is also very spotty. Tv kept buffering. I would happily stay here again.

A very peaceful and beautiful place to visit. A lovely short walk with the welcoming smile of a seal when I arrived.
