Bayshiel
Dumfries and Galloway
Bayshiel is a three-bedroom cottage a short walk from Sandhead's beach. It sleeps six across a double, two singles, and a kingsize bed, with two bathrooms—one ensuite to the top-floor bedroom. The ground floor holds the living room, kitchen-diner, and utility room; the first floor has the third bedroom. What you get covers the essentials: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need them. The kitchen is fitted for proper cooking—electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer—and seats six at the dining table. The living room has a TV, Freesat and a DVD player. There are two parking spaces and a courtyard with patio seating.
The location is the draw: Sandhead sits on the Dumfries and Galloway coast where the beach stretches for three miles at low tide and shelters a bay good for launching small boats. A pub and shop are within walking distance. The wider area has the RSPB's Mull of Galloway reserve with its spring and summer seabirds, plus Logan Botanical Gardens and a string of small seaside villages worth exploring. The cottage does not permit smoking. Note that five steps lead into the courtyard.
