High Vennel Cottages - Crofthouse

Wigtown, designated Scotland's Book Town, sits at the centre of Dumfries and Galloway's varied landscape. The annual book festival draws visitors year-round, and independent bookshops, galleries and cafés line the main street. From here, the Galloway Hills and Forest Dark Skies Park are within reach for walking and cycling, while the Solway coastline offers sandy beaches and rocky coves a short drive away. Rivers in the region are known for fishing; the 7 Stanes cycle tracks provide more demanding routes.

High Vennel Cottages - Crofthouse is a new-build house completed in 2023, set on a quiet street just off Wigtown's centre. Downstairs there is a living room with Freeview Smart TV, a kitchen/dining room with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and a shower room. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, the other with two singles—and a bathroom with both bath and shower. The enclosed back garden has patio seating. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Parking for two cars is on site, and there is a bike store.

The house sleeps four and is no-smoking throughout. You arrive after 15:00 and depart before 10:00.
